Stephen Shelton, M.B.A.

Stephen Shelton graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Communication in Human Relations. He then held positions as a Corporate Trainer in the oil & gas and telecommunications industry, as well as a Financial Analyst, Organization Development Consultant, and Training Team Lead in the automotive industry. As a Corporate Trainer, he facilitated classes such as Workplace Issues, Violence in the Workplace, Time Management, Meeting Management, and Finance for Managers. He also managed web account ad hoc teams designed to build the functionality of the Human Resources and Recruiting business units.

Shelton received his M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University with a focus on Leadership and Financial Management, and earned certification as a Human Resources Professional from HRCI. He currently manages a team charged with scheduling a manufacturing plant for an automotive supplier.

Steven C. Judice, J.D.

Steven C. Judice is a partner in the law firm of Keogh, Cox & Wilson. He holds an M.S. degree in Speech Communication from North Texas State University and received his law degree from the Louisiana State University School of Law.

While in law school, Judice was a member of the Moot Court Board and was a winner of the Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition. He is an inductee in the Paul M. Hebert Law Center Hall of Fame. His practice primarily involves litigation in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice and employment related matters.

Judice is a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana State and American Bar Associations, and also holds membership in the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.

Margaret Fitch-Hauser, Ph.D.

Margaret Fitch-Hauser is a proven trainer and consultant driven by a passion for continuous learning and personal development. Her custom tailored programs have focused on all aspects of human communication, particularly in the realms of image management, leadership development, and skill development. She has worked for over 20 years as a trainer, facilitator and consultant with many for profit and not-for-profit organizations. Fitch-Hauser has also worked with numerous community and organizational leadership programs. These programs are designed to build leadership teams, promote coalition building and increase the awareness of the participants to the importance of looking beyond their own skills and experiences.

As a recognized scholar in listening and the cognitive processes of message interpretation, Fitch-Hauser has served as an expert witness in several civil litigations and has been interviewed by such publications as Today's Supervisor. She has published numerous scholarly articles and book chapters. Her clients have included The United States Chamber of Commerce's Institutes for Organization Management, the oldest continuing education program in the United States. She has worked with the community leadership programs in Jackson and Natchez, MS; Norman, OK, St. Joseph, MO, and Fredericksburg, TX. She has also worked with The IVY Tech system, McLane Company, The National Association of Realtors, The Florida and The Georgia Association of Realtors, and many other organizations.

In addition to working as a trainer and coach, Fitch-Hauser continues to remain active as an academic. A graduate of The University of Oklahoma, she has taught in the Oklahoma College of Business, and is presently on the faculty of the Department of Communication and Journalism at Auburn University where she served five years as Department Chair. She also continues her research activities, and is currently involved in research focused on communication fidelity.

Cornell Thomas, Ed.D.

Cornell Thomas is the new President at Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas. Over the past 30 years, he has served as a continuing consultant in a wide variety of professional environments on educational and diversity issues including Vice President for Institutional Diversity at Oklahoma State University and Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Diversity and Community as well as Director of Affirmative Action at Texas Christian University.

Cornell serves on numerous boards in a variety of communities that value diverse perspectives. He has authored over 150 papers and articles covering such topics that range from diversity principles for principals on one hand to the role of inclusiveness in obtaining organizational success on the other hand. Dr. Thomas is an outstanding scholar, consultant, and presenter.

Laura Janusik, Ph.D. & Certified Listening Professional

Laura Janusik is a part time trainer/consultant and a full-time academic and researcher. Her work focuses on Conversational Listening in a variety of contexts, including Business, Education, Healthcare, and Mediation. Her research focuses on understanding communication from the inside out; that is, understanding the brain's structure and processes and their effect on listening and communication. She has over 20 years of training and consulting in private industry. As Communication is considered a social science, Janusik takes a firm stand on grounding her training in research. She is an avid researcher herself, driven by the quest of better understanding how to help individuals listen more effectively. She has had over 15 national and international publications and 40 national and international papers. Her current research focuses on listening capacity, listening metacognitions, culture, and nonverbal listening behaviors.

Janusik received her Ph.D. in Communication with an emphasis on Listening from the University of Maryland at College Park. She is currently an Associate Professor and the McGee Chair of Communication at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. Janusik also serves as the President of the International Listening Association. In her previous life, Janusik was a Corporate Director of Human Resources and provided human resources for over 1,300 employees.

James R. (Jim) Bowman, The PR Doc®

Jim Bowman has made a career of building and maintaining the reputations of global corporations and helping small companies get known. His knowledge of online public relations helps small-to-medium-sized businesses raise their profiles and do more business.

As Vice President of Corporate Communications for Nokia Inc., he was part of the global team that established Nokia as one of the world's top 10 brands. He also has served as Director of National Media Relations for Sprint, head of Communications for Illuminet during its merger and pre-public-offering stages, and Media Relations Manager for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and Sikorsky Aircraft. He served as a U.S. Air Force public affairs officer in the Secretary of the Air Force public affairs office and at headquarters, Air Materiel Command.

Thomas S. Daley, M.A.

Tom Daley graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a focus on Political Science/Public Administration, where he pursued studies in Business and Psychology. He then went on to the University of Houston at Clear Lake and received his M.A. in the Humanities, with a dual emphasis on Literature and Western European History.

An independent business consultant with a background in Operations Management and Information Technology, Tom was Vice President of Operations and Technical Services at a Dallas direct mail advertising company for 18 years, has worked extensively in database management, and is a published author. He has been through several Leadership programs with area chambers of commerce, and volunteers for local charities.

Tom is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with a wide area of interests including military history, classical Greece and Rome, literature, politics, written communication, religion and philosophy, amongst others.

Kevin Flach

Kevin Flach graduated from Oral Roberts University with a B.S. in Marketing. After graduation he earned his commission as an officer in the United States Navy. In addition to being an aircrew member aboard naval jet fighter aircraft he supervised maintenance personnel, served as a Squadron Public Affairs Officer, and oversaw the Training Department for the USS Saratoga, a 2500-man aircraft carrier.

After resigning his commission Kevin earned a Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, where his academic emphasis was on Cognitive Therapy and Agency Administration. As the digital age progressed he applied his skills towards advancing communication through digital media like video, interactive presentations and the internet.

In addition to his work with digital media, Kevin has given numerous presentations and seminars on managing stress, building communication skills, conflict resolution, and other topics in businesses, networking groups and churches across the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. He's a passionate public speaker known for his sense of humor as well as his commitment toward providing content with substance.
